History

Known originally as International Guaranty Corporation, Sound Decision began in 1972 supporting electronic suppliers such as: Pioneer; Craig; Morriss; Electrophonic; Ross and Stewart Radios. From the mid 1970s we were also working consulting major speaker manufacturers in the US. In 1975 we were branded as Sound Decisions. We began with our first car audio installations with 8 tracks in 1976 and by 1978 we branched in to supplying all the parts for home speaker kit sales.

As the interest in after-market car audio boomed in the late 1970s and early 1980s, Sound Decisions place in the market was assured. With the influx of new manufactures participating in the car audio the news for customers was that the sky was the limit. With the advant of digital audio and compact discs consumers were exposed to better quality sound for the first time. By the late 1980s, the combination of the advancements in amplifier technology allowed the true concert in the car experience.

The 1980s also brought with it new technologies in security allowing for never-before-seen options for the consumer. Car alarms appeard along with a myriad of anti-theft and theft-deterrent devices.

In 1990, Sound Decisions moved to its current location and finding the bright pink mailbox became a well established landmark in the Racine and Southeastern Wisconsin Area. In 1995 consumer were again afforded a new option, the remote start sytem.

Completing the now standard set of available options the 21st century ushured in such advancements as GPS navigation, Digital Video and computer integreted peripherals. The consumer is nolonger limited by the contraints of space for the storage of various media. iPod and digital storage devices now allow more options than ever.
